In May, Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club started their journey in the British Mixed Team Knockout Chamionships. The team, consisting of 5 couples, played in a greensome format. First off was an away fixture against Mold GC. A win there led to a home match against Vale Royal GC. Getting into our stride, we visited Portal GC which proved a challenge, but still came away with a win. The fourth round was a home match against Bakewell GC. This win secured our place in the regional finals which was against Belton Park GC at home. Three games of this hard fought match saw 3 teams going to extra holes, but the victory was ours, ensuring a place in the British Finals.

Rhos-on-Sea travelled to The Oxforshire Golf Club on 27^th September to do battle against the other three regional winners. Our semi final was against Brickenden Golf Club and here we took our first loss, 3-2. We  weren’t quite finished, as on the second day there was a play off for 3^rd and 4^th position against Scarborough GC. One pair had to go to the 20^th hole to give us a 3-2 win and 3^rd place. Brickeden GC went on to beat Brampton Park GC 3-2, securing victory.
